Another year has come and gone, but what a year it was! From ramblers to lake lodges, custom woodwork to open kitchens, and stunning views to a private pub, 2017 was a year to remember.
Much like the previous year, 2017 saw quick movement of homes under $350,000, and, to our delight, an increase from 2016 in closings of homes over $1,000,000. From the transactions I closed in 2017 (below), it appears that buyers, more and more, are looking for homes that are new-construction or recently updated. As is always true, the location of a home makes a huge impact on price and time on market. I expect that trend will continue into 2018 and my market knowledge will help to price a home so that it sells as quickly as possible. I also suspect there will be slowly rising interest rates, as we saw throughout 2017, but rates will remain low compared to recent history.
2017 was also a year of giving! Our spring, summer, and fall campaigns each celebrated local non-profit organizations - People for Parks, the Minnesota Animal Humane Society and the MacPhail Center for Music all of which enrich our communities. It was a great pleasure to contribute exposure to these organizations and support their efforts. Looking ahead, our team is excited to give even more in 2018!
This year, my New Year's Resolution is to drink more water and to help you achieve your real estate dreams. Let's talk today!
